The amazing thing is, the future is more near than you can imagine. There are lots of companies doing research in this area and doing beta tests with influencers, youtube reviewers, etc.
1. Humane
Humane is a consumer hardware, software company built in 2017. Most of its exec are former Apple employees. The patents filed by them suggest that they are trying to build devices that are like wearables that can be controlled by gestures. They recently showcased their first product in a TED talk. The promises made by the team were huge and dystopian, but we have to wait and see how much this translates to reality when they launch it into the real world.
2. Meta (Facebook)
Meta which was formerly called Facebook is a social media platform. CEO Mark Zuckerberg not only renamed the name of the company META but also ventured into AR, VR, and mixed reality space. They bought Oculus a VR headset company and they are constantly improving the technology ever since.

3. Google
Google is trying to win the AI war which just got spicer after Microsoft bought OpenAI and started integrating Chat GPT within all of its products. No one could have imagined that Google will have a competitor in the search space.
Google recently updated its map to support the VR experience.
4. Apple
Apple recently jumped into the VR space with its Apple Vision Pro. They are not calling it a VR headset, but a spatial computer. It's an overload of technologies like sensors, cameras, and processors used beautifully to create a technological masterpiece, at least how Apple is projecting it. Let's wait until when it's available to buy at a whopping $3500.
5. Microsoft
Microsft cannot do anything wrong right now. Its biggest deal with Open API, GitHub, etc they are leading the AI space right now, with Google falling behind and trying to improve its AI called Bard.
In the VR space or Mixed Reality (XR) Microsoft is again partnered with Leap Motion company to create its own product lineup.
Holo lens is one of the products in the mixed reality lineup with use cases in industries and creative companies it has joined the VR/XR race.
6. Samsung
Samsung is constantly doing research in the VR space but it]'s behind its competitors right now. They launched Samsung Gear but didn't get much response from customers. This is expected from almost all the products from any company right now as the technology is still maturing.
7. Intel
VR is the next big thing and the likes of Intel, AMD, and Nvidia will be the backbone for this technology. Intel has already launched integrated systems solutions that product companies can leverage and build their VR products.
8. UltraLeap
You will ask why UltraLeap is so behind in this list. Although this was the company ahead of its time when it started creating gesture control devices with motion tracking and eye tracking. The company is constantly innovating but it's not as big as Apple or Microsoft so they are working in partnership with these companies. The product lineup is promising but has to go a long way. 9. Sony
Sony almost has a monopoly in the console gaming industry. VR is the new domain of gaming for which Sony launched the Sony Playstation VR. It has a motion sensor, and gaming controllers which we can use to interact.

Magic Leap is currently focused to create products to be used in hospitals, factories, and research institutes. It comes with the complete package of Hardware, Software, and Services.
